Hi! I'm Jordan, an experience designer, project manager, information architect, software developer, and musician from Ann Arbor, Michigan. I apply the lessons I have learned from my work in UX, programming, artificial intelligence, performing arts, and technological justice to create accessible and meaningful moments.
I value an interdisciplinary problem-solving approach, and I take my inspiration from an eclectic array of sources- but whether I'm working as a designer, a teacher, a consultant, or a performer, the goal of my work is always to create a memorable and meaningful experience!
Supported by my training in computer science and complex systems, I enjoy working on challenging computational problems, like machine learning, robotics, and data analytics.
I have experience working in a variety of coding languages, and I enjoy learning how to design systems using principles from numerical complex systems analysis. Clear communication of these technical concepts is a high priority for me.
However, I also enjoy stepping out of the efficiency-seeking mindset of a computer engineer and making meaningful artistic decisions. My experience as a professional musician has given me the confidence I need to create designs that take risks and evoke emotion in users.
As a creative person, I also believe it is the role of all makers to strive to create a more just, equitable, and humane world for everyone.
